WHAT'S IT ALL ABOUT?
You will receive an initial grounding in the use of a computerised system for book-keeping.

WHAT DO I NEED?
ASSESSMENT
You will be assessed by assorted external exams on accounts at various stages throughout the course when you are ready.

NOTE: The skills on this course are offered as a workshop, not a formally taught class. This means that learners work individually at their own pace, using prepared written materials and handouts and assistance is provided by the tutor when required.

WHAT WILL I STUDY?
You will study:

Customer records - Invoices/Credits, Receipts/Discount.

Supplier records - Invoices/Credits, Payments/Discount.

Financial reports - Trial balance, Profit and Loss, Balance sheet, Budgets.

Nominal records - Journal entries, Contras, Cheque returns/refunds, Recurring entries, Prepayments, Accruals, Bank reconciliation, Month end.

WHAT WILL I ACHIEVE?
You should, upon successful completion, achieve some of the following qualifications:

This course will run for:

18 Weeks from September to January
18 Weeks from February to June
36 Weeks from September to June

Alternatively should space allow, learners can start in the first week of any month for 18 weeks (roll on/roll off).

WHAT CAN I DO AFTERWARDS?
You can progress onto the AAT course, Bookkeeping, GCSE or A Level Accounts.
