This course is designed for those wishing to improve their knowledge and understanding of computerised accounts (using Sage line 50 for Windows)

Contents:

  • Processing accounting transactions
  • Producing customer and supplier documentaiton.
  • Producing reports such as aged creditor analysis and sales day book summaries for management purposes.
Level: 2 Course Type: Part Time Entry RequirementsEntry Requirements:

A knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting techniques is required - this may have been acquired via the bookkeeping and accounts courses run by the college, or through work experience or other similar qualifications.

Progression & AssessmentAssessment and Progression:

Students' work is assessed via a 2 hour exam, marked by the awarding body, C&G. Successful completion of the course leads to the award of a C&G Award in Computerised Accounts Level 2.

Students who successfully complete this course may choose to progress to courses provieded (at Lincoln College) by the Association of Accounting Technicians, which are nationally recognised accounting qualifications. Please ask for details.

Duration & LocationDuration:

This is a 10 week course starting on 29th March 2011 on Tuesdays from 6.00 - 9.00pm.

NOTE: Due to the short duration of this course there is an attendance requirement of 100%. C&G exams, where applicable, are scheduled for the final week of the course.
