Course Description
The programme includes planning for assessment, gathering assessment evidence, and feeding back to candidates & contribute to the Internal Quality Assurance process. During the award observations will take place on carrying out assessment practices and the quality of feedback given to candidates. The award is designed for people who are already assessing learners? progress on NVQs. It includes how these learners gather the evidence to complete whole units ready for certification and will cover a number of assessment methods.

Entry Requirements
To be able to assess a minimum of 2 candidates working towards a whole unit each on an NVQ. To be supported by an Internal Verifier throughout the course.

Assessment Methods
A portfolio is developed throughout the course containing observations of feedback, observations from an independent assessor of the assessment process, professional discussion & observations of assessment & evidence of support from an internal verifier.

Progression
After approximately 18 months experience candidates may progress to the Certificate in Conducting Internal Quality Assurance of the Assessment Process (V1 award)
