Course Details

Health and Safety First Aid All Aspects of Dental Nursing Anatomy and Physiology Practical Skills Client Care Examination Techniques Health Promotion Health Emergencies In The Treatment Room Human Development and Disease Communication Skills

Qualifications required:
No formal entry qualifications are required. Although applicants must be employed as a Dental Surgery Assistant, 2 years experience is required to achieve the certificate.

Course length:
52 weeks approx

Venue:
The College's Queen's Gardens Site

Start Date:
January (subject to numbers) or Easter. Enrolments and induction are completed during the first class. Students do not need to come in during enrolment week to complete their forms - this will be done in class with your course tutor.

Course hours:
3 hours (part-time)

Additional info:
You will need to buy stationery and course textbook - to be advised at the start of the course.

Progression:
Progression onto the Oral Health Education Certificate. A choice of career routes including; Dental Radiography, Dental Hygiene and Practice Manager.

9 am - 12noon, 1.30 pm - 4.30 pm
