Aromatherapy is a use of essential oils for treatment or prevention of disease it can relax, invigorate and promote well-being.
The course is accredited by VTCT and includes study of related Health & Safety and Anatomy & Physiology.
What will I be learning?
The course covers how to blend essential oils and how to use the blend to enhance the massage. Massage routines will be demonstrated and practised initially on peers and then on paying clients.
How will I learn?
You will be continually assessed throughout the course by way of direct observation, oral questions, written tasks (projects) and final written tests.
What else might I want to know?
This course is suitable for students as a first entry to Aromatherapy and will also be of benefit to other therapists wishing to increase their skill base.
Those joining the course are invited to become student members of the Federation of Holistic Therapists.
You will be required to wear a therapy uniform for some classes and will need to purchase a kit and text book for your personal use within classes. You are required to register with VTCT and purchase an assessment logbook. There is no fee remission available on this course.

Students can add to their portfolio of treatments from the selection of courses offered at South Devon College.
