Is it right for me?
Students complete 4 pieces of work on a themed subject in an aesthetic and botanically precise format. Completion of the diploma fulfils the RHS submission criteria. The course covers the principles and requirements of botanical illustration, representing diagnostic features, colour and form combining artistic merit with scientific accuracy. Your tutor is a professional illustrator specialising in fruit.

What qualifications will I need?
Previous drawing experience. Minimum age 16.

What materials are required?
Artists watercolours. Hot pressed paper. Sable brushes. Magnifying lens. H and F pencils.
