Is this course right for me?

Stone Therapy is a popular spa treatment which increases the therapeutic benefit of massage. The stone therapy course teaches techniques for using specific types of stones, at different temperatures, in a massage routine.

What will I be learning?

The technique is a useful addition to skills for therapists working in a spa, complementary of beauty therapy salon. The course includes a diploma in Health & Safety. The course is fully accredited and validated by Vocational Training Charitable Trust.

How will I learn?

You will be continually assessed throughout the course by way of direct observation, oral questions, written tasks (projects) and written tests are also a part of this qualification. Health and Safety has an external exam that must also be completed.

What else might I want to know?

The course runs for 18 weeks. Students are required to wear a salon tunic for practical aspects of this course. You are required to register with VTCT and purchase an assessment logbook. There is no fee remission available on this course. Those joining the course are invited to become student members of the Federation of Holistic therapists. This qualification is offered to those students who wish to add to their therapy skills base. It is suitable for Complementary and Beauty Therapists. It may also be of use to Sports Therapists
