Learn how to cater for your dog's primary grooming requirements, taking the opportunity to groom out, bath and dry your own dog.

What qualifications will I need?
Entry to this course is open to anyone wishing to learn more about grooming their own dogs or those who would like an insight into grooming as a career. Age is immaterial but a reasonable level of good health is necessary.

What will I be learning about?
  • Handling the dog in the salon
  • Introduction to tools and equipment used in dog grooming
  • Bath, groom out and dry a dog

Where will it take me?
Assistant dog groomer. Progression onto City and Guilds Intermediate course in Dog Grooming.

What materials are required?
Writing materials. Non'slip shoes and a waterproof apron should be worn. Please bring one dog with you. Dogs must be vaccinated and have good temperaments.
