What qualifications will I need?
Previous experience and/or exams at Level 2/3 are desirable before embarking on this course. Students are advised to talk to the tutor, John Reynolds, before enrolling to ascertain if this course is suitable for them.

What will I be learning about?
  • Create Tables exploring the advanced features of data types & field properties.
  • Create Select Queries with more advanced criteria.
  • Create Action Queries to Update, Delete, Append records & Make Table Queries.
  • Build summaries of data with Totals Queries & Crosstab Queries.
  • Design Forms with multiple pages ' create Subforms ' Option Buttons.
  • Create Advanced Reports with cumulative totals and percentages.
  • Link Tables in a Relational Database ' change the linking.
  • Create Queries from Multiple Linked Tables ' change the Join Properties.
  • Edit SQL code to make changes to the working of the database.
A significant amount of homework is required.
Students will be expected to complete the test paper.
