Is it right for me?
Building on the knowledge gained at level 2, we look at more advanced aspects of Excel.
This course could be studied as part of an ITQ Advanced ECDL Full Level 3 qualification.

What qualifications will I need?
Previous experience and/or exams at Level 2/3 are desirable before embarking on this course. Students are advised to talk to the tutor, John Reynolds, before enrolling to ascertain if this course is suitable for them.

What will I be learning about?

• Recap all the topics covered in the Intermediate Course.
• Database functions ' DSUM, DMAX, DMIN, DCOUNT, DAVERAGE.
• Create customised formats e.g. for Dates and Times.
• Apply Conditional Formatting ' cell is & Formula.
• Financial Formulae e.g. PMT function to calculate mortgage repayments.
• Analyse a Data Table by applying Subtotals ' Pivot Tables.
• Create Macros ' Option Buttons, Forms and Controls.
• Advanced functions such as INDEX, MATCH, DATE & RANK.
• Create Customised Functions.
• Create Professional Spreadsheets using advanced techniques.
• A significant amount of homework is required.

Students will be expected to complete the test paper.
