About this course
You are required to have completed the NVQ 2251 PEO Level 1 and C&G 2800 Certificate in Engineering but you will also be considered if you have relevant industry knowledge and/or experience.

Is the course for me?
You must have completed the Level 1 course before you can progress onto the Level 2, however students who can demonstrate the required level of competence and knowledge in the industry will be considered on individual merit.
What will I learn?
You will gain the skills required to gain an industry standard qualification. The course contains more theory than Level 1, but there is a substantial amount of practical work and assessments involved. There are four units needed to complete the course as follows: 1. Working effectively and safely 2. Principles of electro-technology 3. Health and safety and electrical principles, this also involves a practical assessment. 4. Installations (Building and Structures), this also involves a practical assessment.
How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed regularly throughout the year. There will also be four end of year online external exams and two internally assessed practical exams.
What can I do after the course?
You could go on to the NVQ Level 3 (employed status only), 2330 Level 3 or National Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
