Introduction
ECDL Advanced is the next level on the ECDL certification path, building a more extensive skill set to underpin knowledge gained from the ECDL course in specific areas and allowing the candidate to demonstrate ability above and beyond basic levels. The ECDL Advanced Word Processing syllabus further develops knowledge and competence attained in ECDL.

Description
Word Processing Advanced Level 3 requires the candidate to use the word processing application to produce what are deemed to be advanced word processing document outputs. The student will be able to operate effectively at more than a basic level of competence and be able to produce advanced word processing outputs, illustrating sophisticated typographical, formatting and layout presentations, including tables, forms or graphics. The candidate shall be able to use tools such as macros and to carry out more advanced mail merge operations within the word processing applications. There is a formal assessment at the end of the course which must be completed to gain the qualification.

Duration
This course runs for 30 hours in total. It is a flexi-learn course, however we do ask for a minimum of six hours a week attendance at College.

Method of Study
This is a workbook based, flexi-learn course which can be taken at various times and days of the week. We have a fully qualified tutor on hand at all times who has under gone the ECDL Advanced courses themselves.

Progression
Those people who wish to broaden their IT skills further will be able to progress sideways onto the other three ECDL Advanced modules, Spreadsheets, Databases and Presentation Graphics.
