Introduction
ECDL Advanced is the next level on the ECDL certification path, building a more extensive skill set to underpin knowledge gained from the ECDL course in specific areas and allowing the candidate to demonstrate ability above and beyond basic levels. The ECDL Advanced Spreadsheet syllabus further develops knowledge and competence attained in ECDL.

Description
Spreadsheets Advanced Level 3, requires the candidate to use the spreadsheet application to produce what are deemed to be advanced spreadsheet outputs. The student will be able to operate effectively at more than a basic level of competence and be able to edit and enhance numeric, text and graphical data and to sort, query and link data. The student will also be able to carry out advanced formatting and presentation operations on charts and graphs. The candidate shall be able to use functions such as those associated with logical, statistical or mathematical operations. The candidate shall be able to use available analysis and audit tools and to run and record simple macros. There is a formal assessment at the end of the course which must be completed to gain the qualification.

Duration
This course runs for 30 hours in total. It is a flexi-learn course, however we do ask for a minimum of six hours a week attendance at College.

Method of Study
This is a workbook based, flexi-learn course which can be taken at various times and days of the week. We have fully qualified tutors on hand at all times who have under gone the ECDL Advanced course themselves.

Progression
Those people who wish to broaden their IT skills further will be able to progress sideways onto the other three ECDL Advanced modules, Word Processing, databases and Presentation Graphics.
