Course Description: To develop a range of site based tasks in readiness for work. Can be converted to an NVQ with relevant work experience.

Modules:

• Store Materials and Equipment
• Erect and Dismantle Basic Working Platforms
• Work Efficiently
• First Fixing Before Plasterwork
• Second Fixing after Plasterwork
• Carcassing for floors and roofs
• Use Portable Power tools

Entry requirements: Enthusiasm and commitment is a must. This course will suit young people with an interest in pursuing a career in the construction industry. All candidates will have a formal interview with the course Tutor

Progression/Career Opportunities: Provides opportunities to gain employment as a craftsperson within the construction industry, leading to a full NVQ, or work toward s the advanced construction award.
