Whether you are considering taking on a cat or kitten, are a new owner, or would just like to know more about the cat who allows you to share their home, this is the day for you to learn with practice and theory.

What qualifications will I need?
Minimum age 16. Interest and enthusiasm.

What will I be learning about?

• Introduction to different breeds
• Nutrition, health and disease
• Anatomy and physiology
• Handling and restraint

What materials are required?
Writing materials. Protective overalls (when there is a practical element).

What is next?
Edexcel BTEC National Unit Working with Cats & Dogs, Advanced Certificate in Dogs and Cats (and allied industries).

How will I be assessed?
No assessment involved ' purely for pleasure.
