Entry Requirements

Applicants must have a National Diploma in Construction, or National Certificate in Building Studies or, a Level 3 BTEC Diploma, or a Level 3 BTEC Subsidiary Diploma, or a Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma, or NVQ Level 3 and/or Technical Certificate or 1 GCE ‘A’ Level, together with passes in at least 4 subjects at GCSE level including Mathematics, English and Science. Mature candidates with relevant industrial experience will be considered on merit.

Course Aims
To provide technicians employed in the Built Environment professions with the opportunity to obtain a higher level qualification and to enhance their career prospects. To provide a basis for entry into further academic or professional qualifications for students wishing to progress to a supervisory or management role in the construction industry.
Assessment Methods
50% assignment work, 50% examination
