The Course
This one-day acrylics workshop will explore the vivid colours of traditional Mexican folk art and its decorative images of flowers, birds and fruit. Learn the basic brush strokes needed to paint motifs and designs that can be used on furniture, greetings cards and household objects.

What you will achieve
You will be able to form the basic brush strokes needed to create flower and leaf motifs, recognise some of the images used in Mexican folk art, use acrylic paint at an introductory level

Painting for decoration and design (8 week Wednesday afternoon course - summer term) Painting and drawing classes to extend their skills
What you need to bring
Acrylic paints, brushes for acrylics - synthetic with point, sizes 8, 6 and 2 approx, plastic pots/trays for palette, a sheet of A1 black paper, a sheet of heavyweight white watercolour paper, a sheet or pad of tracing paper, sketchbook or sketchpad, pencil, notebook.
