Course Details

This course is intended for those carrying out manufacturing operations in various industries at shop floor level. The qualification is delivered on site, with an assigned trainer consultant who, coordinates training and assessment of knowledge, evidence and observation. A portfolio of evidence and a knowledge base is built with support from the trainer consultant working on a one to one or small group basis. The programme delivery is flexible dependant upon the needs of the employer and the individual but can take 2 to 6 months Benefits to the learner include: Gaining a nationally recognised certificate of achievement (NVQ Level 2 is equivalent to a GCSE). A way of gaining top up training for any skills gaps that you may have. Recognition of the skills you have gained and a way of using your skills to make valued improvements to the company. Benefits to the employer include: Training and assessment to a national recognised standard (NVQ Level 2). Through awareness of operator's knowledge you will be able to understand what and why activities are carried out and how you can achieve a more efficient business in relation to cost, quality and profit. Assists with the identification of any skills gaps. Provides a platform for progression onto higher qualifications.

Course length:
Dependant on the learner but usually between 2 and 6 months

Progression:
On completion of the programme candidates may progress to the NVQ Business Improvements Techniques qualification if they so wish.
