OCR (RSA) Audio Transcription Level 1, 2 and 3

Course Details

You will learn basic, intermediate and advanced audio transcription skills. The use of audio equipment in relation to a computer in order to produce word-processed documents.

Qualifications required:
Level 1 - Preferably students should have passed Text Production Level 1. A basic level of English, both spelling and grammar, is required Level 2 - Preferably students should have passed Text Production Level 2 or Audio Transcription Level 1. Level 3 - Preferably students should have passed Text Production Level 3 or Audio Transcription Level 2.

Course length:
Levels 1 and 2 - 6 weeks, Level 3 - 12 weeks

The College's Queen's Gardens Centre

Start Date:
Level 1 January and May 2010. Level 2 September, November 2009, January, March and May 2010. Level 3 January and May 2010.

Course hours:
3 hours

Additional info:
Students may wish to use their own earphones

Progression:
Level 1 - Progression to Level 2 Audio Transcription.
Level 2 - Progression to Level 3 Audio Transcription.
Level 3 - Further study on a wide variety of administration courses dependent upon the individual's chosen route.

6 - 9 pm or 10 am - 1 pm
