This 1 to 2 year course is suitable for learners with previous experience of plumbing. It will incorporate the advanced skills of the craft and an introduction to the supervisory areas of the industry. The qualification recognises your job knowledge and tests the skills you have acquired. When joining the programme, a tutor is assigned to assist you in developing both your Individual Action Plan and the structure of an evidence portfolio, enabling study time to be effectively managed. The course is presented on a unit basis.

Entry requirements
You will require an NVQ 2 and/or Plumbing Certificate Level 2. You will also be invited to attend an interview. Any previous learning or experience will be considered in your learning programme.

What will I study?
You will study six units and two Key Skills.

How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed via practical and job knowledge unit tests, externally set tests and site evidence is required for the portfolios for Key Skills.

Career Opportunities & Progression
As a result of successfully completing this programme you will be able to further your studies on either an ONC or HNC.
