Is it right for me?
As most of us in the trade know, Health and Safety legislation is forever changing: the sign of a good business person is to be aware of these changes and pre'empt them.
At Kingston Maurward College we have seen that ropes, ladders and solid platforms will be replaced as much as possible with MEWPs. This means being trained in the use of MEWPs to allow you to work safely.
The full facilities at the College offer you one of the best packages in the South West.

What qualifications will I need?
Minimum age 16 years.

What will I be learning about?

• Prepare a MEWP for operation and establish that it is safe to use
• Operate a MEWP without risk to self, others and the environment
• Operate within and comply with the legislative requirements.
• State the identified knowledge that underpins understanding in the safe use and operation of a MEWP

What is involved?
Two days training and one two hour assessment.

What materials are required?
Steel toe'capped safety boots and old clothes. Basic stationery and writing materials.
PLEASE NOTE: All students must bring a passport size photograph on the first day of their course and their national insurance number.

What is next?
Chainsaw Certificates of Competence or Use on MEWP.

How will I be assessed?
Separate day by independent assessor which is included in the price.
