Introduction
This course gives a greater understanding and practical use of a home computer to the mature learner in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. It gives an enhanced view of the capabilities of Microsoft Office for Word Processing and Spreadsheets as well as introducing 'presentation' software.

Description
At the end of the course you will be able to work with columns, use page and column breaks (Word), use special symbols (Access), use spreadsheets to create a personal budget and electronic address book (Excel), and create a basic presentation (PowerPoint).

Duration
1 term (1.5 hours x 10 weeks)

Method of Study
You will require a note book & pencil, glasses (if needed for reading), hearing aid (if worn). Please note that this course uses well-travelled laptop computers and that there is no facility for Internet access.

Progression
