By using CSS to lay out your web pages it makes managing your site design a lot easier.
Just check out for an example of what can be achieved.
As an added bonus you don't need any expensive software, as you can just use a simple text editor and a web browser!
What qualifications will I need?
There are no formal entry requirements for this course, however you will need a good working knowledge of web design and a willingness to learn code.
You may find it useful to have completed the 'Web Design ' Using Dreamweaver' course.
What will I be learning about?
- An introduction to Web Standards, (X)HTML and CSS ' This will explain the reasons you need to know about these subjects if you want to do professional web design in the current market.
- Creating well structured (X)HTML code ' This is vitally important when creating web pages. This will make them easily accessible to people using screen readers and to search engines, improving your search engine ranking.
- Using CSS for page layout ' You'll learn how to use CSS to lay out the pages. By keeping the content of the page and the styling separate it makes redesigns much easier.
- More CSS ' You'll learn how to use CSS to create many essential web design elements such as navigation bars, menus and much more.
