Course Aims:
Students will develop mark-making techniques and skills in Pastels work, including general understanding of the design process; research, ideas and development. Shape, colour, texture and use of various mixed mediums.
Course Content:
With support and guidance from your tutor, in a friendly atmosphere you will familiarise yourself with craft materials, resources, tools and equipment. This will include creating your own works of art and understanding the appropriate variety of pastels..
You will be encouraged to investigate different materials, techniques and research to allow you to take ideas forward for creative development.

Each student will be expected to keep a folder for handout sheets, research and student planning and preparation for their project work.
Assessment is informal and ongoing. Students will produce a portfolio of work showing completion / evidence of three mandatory units which are assessed by the tutor and verified by an external ncfe moderator.

Level 2 Certificate in Creative Craft. (Pastels)
