You will be taught how to use specialist equipment, pattern terminology, and the correct written and drawn information that should be on the patterns.
Topics covered
Tutor-led demonstrations will provide the starting point from which to practise and develop your skills and aesthetic values.
With this understanding and knowledge in place, you will be able to draw on these skills to further develop the art of patternmaking and to realise your three dimensional designs.
The course will cover tailored/shirt collars, tailored/raglan sleeves and various dress and trouser styles.
Style lines and adding fullness through gathers and pleats will also be included
Entry requirements: A good basic knowledge of patternmaking is required if you are to benefit from this short programme. Ideally, you should have completed our Patternmaking Level 1 before doing this course.
