Course programme
The overall course structure will consist of three diverse production assignments (including work placements where possible). Skills units in voice, movement and production will feed into these production assignments. Each assignment will place emphasis on a different aspect of the theatre industry for example: community theatre/arts, contemporary/urban drama or scene study for showcase to agents. Therefore unit learning outcomes will be integrated and cross mapped to suit the vocational scenario.
We usually ask for a minimum of 200 UCAS points and successful completion of an audition and interview. However, we understand that for various reasons some individuals may not have the points needed and encourage all applicants to apply and audition so that the teaching team can assess suitability and/or equivalent experience and/or qualifications.
Assessment will be through on-going coursework (and practical performances) the written aspects will include:
- Research Projects
- Online portfolios
- Presentations
On achieving the HNC in Performing Arts you will be able to:
- Access work within the Performing Arts industry.
- Access the second year of a subject related course at University.
- Be prepared to audition for Drama School.
