Course programme

For staff who are new to delivering personal care, this course covers the basics of providing intimate and personal care to people in an experiential way, to help staff to understand how it feels to give and receive personal care. Candidates will pick up hints and tips on various aspects of providing personal care.

Learning outcomes and objectives

  • To understand the basics of eye, mouth and ear care.
  • To learn how to assist someone to dress if they have a physical disability.
  • To appreciate the sensitivities involved in delivering personal and intimate care.

Full day courses usually run from 9.30 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.

Organising training at your place of work is particularly valuable for group learning and delivers direct cost savings for more than five people. It allows the training session to be geared to specific issues which affect your workplace and your team including, if relevant, working with your particular equipment.

Payment options: Full day (for up to 20 people) from £280. Payment can be made by monthly instalments for any invoice in excess of £350.
