Licensing laws in England and Wales state that anyone who authorise the sale of alcohol to the public must hold a personal licence. Before you can apply for a personal licence you need a qualification - and that’s what the Award for Personal Licence Holders offers. If you complete and pass the course you will then be able to apply to your local authority for a licence to sell alcohol.
