PGCE History (11-18)

Fact file UCAS code V1X1 - Closed Length 1 year Entry requirements A good honours degree (2:1 or above) in History, or a combined degree with at least 50% History. Other related degree subjects such as Government and Politics may be considered in some circumstances, English and Maths at GCSE (grade C or above) or equivalent for Secondary (11-18), and to have passed the government's skills tests in literacy and numeracy.A commitment to becoming the best teacher you can be, with a minimum of 10 days recent experience in a UK secondary school. If you cannot spend the full 10 days in a secondary school prior to application we can still consider your application as long as you have spent 5 days in a secondary classroom. If you are successful in being offered a place on the course the additional 5 days would be a condition of your offer and would need to be undertaken prior to starting on the course.
