A wide range of subjects are available for study within the general Diploma in Law programme, allowing specialisation in a field of your choosing. The programme focuses on high-level learning on specific issues of current professional and commercial significance, and draws on the strengths of School of Law staff, visiting lecturers and practitioners.
The programme is particularly suitable for professionals who seek education and training in specialist fields of law.
If you wish to specialise in Comparative and International Dispute Resolution you must register for the specific PG Diploma in International Dispute Resolution-Arbitration or PG Diploma in International Dispute Resolution-Mediation.
This programme will:

Course programme
Structure
Programme outline You must complete 90 credits (two taught modules), plus one 30 credit 10,000 word dissertation over a two-year period. Students normally attend one 45 credit taught module in their first year and then take a second module and submit their dissertation in their second year. Taught modules for a general Diploma may be selected from any of the wide range of modules offered to LLM students.
Specialisations If you want your Diploma award to carry a specialisation (eg PG Diploma in Tax Law or PG Diploma in Medical Law) you must select both your taught courses and your dissertation topic from within the same area of law as the study programmes on the LLM.
If you want to specialise in International Dispute Resolution you must apply for the Postgraduate Diploma in International Dispute Resolution.
