This intermediate level course will give students a thorough grounding in appreciating different architectural styles and how best to capture them on camera. As well as looking at particular architects' work, we'll guide you practically through judging the best time of day to photograph, what angle to take a shot from, what lens to use, and how to work safely and legally when out and about (with tips on situations like dealing with security guards when photographing from public space). Two of the sessions will take place on location in the City of London, as well as sessions in the studio learning to edit and process your images.
What previous students liked most about this course: “Tutor’s expertise and encouraging manner. Practice on site – not all theory or viewing familiar images!”
“The onsite photography sessions. Explaining what to look for on site and to use in practice. Also the review at the end helped massively.”
“Taking a new look at what I thought was familiar. The experience/ expertise of the tutor (Grant).”
