Course programme
Our well–equipped digital suite and studio provide an ideal base for exploring the art and craft of photography. The College has a range of Nikon cameras, lenses and tripods available for short term loan (ie during the day or overnight only), photography studios fully equipped to professional standards, computer suite with Adobe Creative Cloud, Lightroom and Photoshop and state of the art printer facilities. This demanding course will help you to develop your creativity and gain a solid grounding in photographic skills. You will explore both technical and creative camera techniques, taking part in practical projects and learning to carry out independent research from various sources whilst working on assignments. As you gain knowledge of photographic materials, processes and techniques, you will be encouraged to develop an individual approach to personal work. Studying and analysing the work of artists and photographers is an important part of the course and will give context to your practical work.
