2. Course description Your studies will involve: Taking photographs, both traditionally and using digital techniques. Working to a variety of set briefs or themes you will learn by: Exploring the work of other key photographers; Exploring and experimenting with visual language; Exploring the historical and contemporary developments within photography; There is no requirement to demonstrate a high degree of drawing skills. You will have the opportunity to explore and experiment within portraiture, still-life, documentary, advertising and creative experimental imagery.

3. Entry requirements You will normally be expected to have five GCSEs at C or above, including English and Mathematics. If you wish to study a a subject at AS Level that you are studying for GCSE then we would normally expect you to achieve at least a grade B at GCSE. Acceptance will be subject to interview. 4. Equipment required No equipment required 5. Assessment method You will learn in a variety of ways, including demonstrations, skills workshops and formal lessons. Assessment will be a mix of coursework portfolio and externally set assignments.
