Overview
The Foundation Degree in Photography aims to provide students with a variety of practical skills and intellectual development, and the knowledge and understanding to become a successful, reflective practitioner.
Professional development
You will gain the confidence to work effectively with clients, and devise and carry through both professional and personal work. You will have the option to top-up your qualification to a BA (Hons) Degree for a third year of study.Your final year will allow you to explore the personal direction of your work in greater depth.
We reg ularly visit galleries and currently hold our own photography exhibitions in London each year. This will provide you with the opportunity to showcase your photography to industry professionals, as well as your creative peers. Stock photography company Alamy has given lectures and students also receive 100% royalties for their first two years
Location
The programme is awarded by the University of Greenwich and taught at North Kent College. The photography department at North Kent College offers excellent tutorial support and workshops in specialist areas. This includes; studio practice, lighting on location, visual communication, concepts in photography and critical thinking.

Entry requirements
Applicants should have:
Minimum 80 UCAS points, however 96+ UCAS points are desirable
GCSE grade C or above in English and mathematics
If you are a mature student and don't meet the UCAS points requirements, but have appropriate experience, specific knowledge, or industry-based qualifications, then your application is welcomed
It is advised that students are com puter literate prior to the start of the course.
