• No previous qualifications are needed • Mature students are welcomed to apply • Entry is by successful interview. Course Content • Health & Safety • Electrical principles • Scientific principles (Theory only) • Common plumbing processes • Cold water systems • Domestic hot water systems • Sanitation (practical with supplementary questions) • Central heating systems • Drainage systems • Understand how to communicate with others within building service engineering (theory only). How will I be assessed? There are nine online theory tests and eight practical assignments Progression Students can progress onto the Level 3 program. When a work placement is gained these qualification units can be used to obtain the full Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Plumbing and Heating. Fees • If you are aged 16-18 as of 31st August on the year of enrolment - no course fee. • If you are over 19 as of 31st August and enrolling on a full-time programme of study a tuition fee will be applicable in most cases, please contact us for full information. Bursary Funds: There are financial support arrangements for 16-18 year olds and hardship funds available for the over 19’s.
