Policing is a complex, dynamic, discipline. Further academic study in this exciting and challenging field will build on the skills and knowledge you have acquired through study for your Foundation degree and will equip you with the skills necessary for a range of professional responsibilities within the field of policing. Delivered by experienced academics and former senior police officers who bring a wealth of theoretical and practical knowledge to enhance your learning, this top-up programme is delivered over two years’ part-time study in recognition of the fact that you may be in full-time employment. Three modules are studied each year. In year two a double module dissertation by way of literature review allows you to pursue an area of policing or crime investigation which is of particular interest to you.
