Pottery Workshop

Starts Friday 7th September for 6 weeks, 1.30pm - 4.00pm.

Brand new session starting in April (Summer Term 2010) running through to July. The course is designed for all those who wish to expand upon their knowledge, but also for beginners who wish to start learning the basics of pottery construction. From thumb pots, coil pots, slab construction and beyond. Basic throwing tution is also given.

Paperclay, mould making, smoke firing, using stains and decoration. We also included the basics function of kilns and glazing. A comprehensive introduction to ceramics.

The evenings are open to all those who have more experience, where you are able to get on with your own projects, but with the added benefit of some help and advice from a tutor.

Further classes in this series will include raku firing and slip casting as well as slab decoration.
