The Pregnancy Massage course is designed for massage therapists who wish to progress to undertaking pregnancy (prenatal) massage using approved techniques. This therapy is becoming ever more popular with women who want some relief from the common symptoms associated with pregnancy, including back ache, stress and tension.
This is a fully accredited separate course as is now required due to changes within the Holistic Industry. This pregnancy massage course meets the guidelines which were introduced in 2010/2011 concerning the amount of pressure to use and limiting massage to areas considered safe. You will also be taught areas that must be avoided during the pregnancy massage process.
Students taking this course will learn how to place the client in a comfortable and safe position during the pregnancy massage therapy. Students will also learn about the risks associated with pregnancy and why it is important to understand these in relation to how the therapy can be completed.
Students will be conversant by the end of the course with each of the common symptoms experienced by the client in each of the trimesters.
