Course Title: Principles of Care
Overview:
The course will benefit all carers who work with the elderly and vulnerable adults in both the care home and domiciliary setting.
The course will provide an introduction to the principles of good care practice and identify the roles and responsibilities of a carer.
Course Content:
During the course you will learn:
- Communication skills,
- How to encourage independence,
- How to promote choice, self-esteem and diversity,
- Supporting clients to make decisions regarding lifestyle,
- To be aware of a balance between safety and risk,
- Identify categories of abuse ad actions to take.
