This event is aimed at professionals who would like to understand
the principles of positive behaviour support and encourage the
development and implementation of positive behaviour support
approaches into their work. This approach focuses on behavioural
change, not reduction and improving the quality of people’s lives.
The day will include:
• Overview and identification of the aspects of socially invalid
behaviour
• An introduction to the principles of positive behaviour support
• An overview of a framework for the application of PBS into services
• Information on individual behaviour assessment and support
planning

Anyone who works in or has an interest in this area and has little or
no knowledge of positive behaviour support as an approach.
