You will be introduced to polychromatic printing; a direct and hand-painted method of screen printing using dyes.
You will learn to create your own one-off prints with an opportunity to experiment in a relaxed atmosphere.

About this course
As a beginner:
- Mix different coloured procion dyes
- Paint a design onto a silk screen
- Experiment with colour, resists and layering
- Produce a Polychromatic print onto fabric or paper
- Be aware of health and safety when working with dyes
As an advanced student:
• Experiment with various ways of using dyes/resists and screen-printing
• Produce a range of samples/prints on paper and fabric
• Develop personal ideas through Polychromatic print processes.
All basic materials will be provided, but you may wish to bring some extra or specialist surfaces to print onto. This
might include watercolour papers and/or some cotton or linen fabrics.
