Course programme

The programme is designed to enable VFX practitioners to develop a claim for recognition of their prior learning and thus to gain academic credit that can count towards the bachelors degree up to 240 credits at Level 4 and 5. Where claims for academic credit fall short of the maximum 240 credits, students will be required to undertake additional Negotiated WBL Project modules to make up the credit deficit. The work produced for these modules can focus on any area of VFX practice that students wish to develop including specialist areas. The programme will be completed with the development and realisation of a work based project.

The main programme modules are:
  • Negotiated WBL Project (Professional Development Portfolio) – 15 credits at Level 6
  • Review of Learning – 15 credits at Level 6
  • Negotiated WBL Project (Visual Effects Professional Networks) – 20 credits at Level 6
  • Negotiated WBL Project (Pre Production Proposal) – 20 credits at Level 6
  • Negotiated WBL Project WBS 3730 (Professional Visual Effects Project) – 30 credits at Level 6.
