Course Content:
Students will study the following units:
Understanding Child Protection Theory
Understanding How Children Learn
Understanding Play for Early Learning
Understanding the Cognitive Development of Children
Understanding the Importance of Play
Understanding the Intellectual and Language Development of Children
Understanding the Physical Development of Children and Young People
Healthy Living
Using Calculations
Developing Personal Study Skills
Progression:
Students can progress onto other Level 3 programmes of study or can progress to an Access to Higher Education Diploma qualification
Awarding Body:
National Open College Network - NOCN
Exam:
All units will be assessed by a combination of portfolios building and written work. There are no externally set exams.
