Outline:
- Introduction
Participants are introduced to the content and purpose of the workshop and have the opportunity to discuss their own potential projects. - Qualities of Project Leaders
Project Leaders need an array of skills, which are both task and people orientated. We define these skills and how to strike the right balance. - Defining Projects
Before we can even start putting the project together, we need to define what it is that actually needs to be achieved. - Planning Projects
Here we look at breaking the project down into its key components and introduce the concept of network planning and critical path analysis. - Managing Projects
Once the key components are in place and the project has started, it needs to be implemented effectively. Here we discuss key monitoring techniques. - Risk Management and Change Control
The best way to plan ahead is to anticipate any possible problems/ threats that might happen. We also look at the impact of change and how to effectively manage it. - Review and Action Plan
Here we review the day and encourage participants to develop and present an action plan which will help them to implement the key learning points.
As a result of participating in this workshop, delegates will;
