Course programme
This seminar has been developed to meet the needs of those who are managing tasks, assignments or even parts of formal projects who need to meet challenging targets under time and resource constraints. Quite possibly this project role will be seen as a supplementary part of their ‘real job’. Equally, this seminar will help those who are just embarking on a career in project management and who are in need of a short, intensive introduction to the concepts, methods and techniques that help projects succeed.
At the end of the programme, delegates will:
1 Be able to apply a systematic, structured approach to their project work
2 Be able to capture the customer brief effectively and agree the objectives
3 Know how to organise their work and that of other team members
4 Have learned techniques for planning and managing risks associated with project work
5 Understand how to ensure that work is implemented and delivered on time
This programme is designed as a foundation course in project management principles and techniques for those involved in project work, formally or informally, including those in senior administrative roles, technical specialists, project support staff, financial and commercial specialists and those in other roles undertaking project assignments.
The project management methods presented can be applied to a wide range and sizes of project and will emphasise both the task and team related aspects of project management. The techniques described are extremely practical and can be used by individuals or teams to structure and organise their work.
