Property and planning are 'people businesses' and are dynamic and stimulating professions offering variety, travel, networking opportunities and high-earning potential. The work has a huge impact – every organisation and every person requires somewhere to work and somewhere to live.
This course provides you with a detailed understanding of the nature and philosophy of town planning and the planning process, with a concentration on sustainable development, urban regeneration and the environment. Your learning in these areas will be complemented by other aspects of property and development including valuing, developing, managing and investing in the property markets, together with the transferable and cognitive skills necessary for lifelong personal and professional development.
As property and planning are not taught at school, students have a wide variety of A Levels and equivalent qualifications. The most important requirements are an analytical mind and a clear motivation towards the course.
