M.Sc. Psychological Research Methods
Full-Time Programme
This course provides an in-depth training in both the quantitative and qualitative methods employed in contemporary psychological research. The course covers critical appreciation of existing research and research methods, philosophical foundations of approaches to research within cognitive and social psychology, formulation of hypotheses, designing and reporting experiments using a range of research methodologies, and subject-specific IT skills.
The course is recognised by the Economic and Social Research Council as an accredited postgraduate training route.
If you would like to carry out research in any area of contemporary psychology, either at PhD level or in the private sector, this course will provide you with a range of appropriate research skills and experiences.
