What I would highlight: This was quite an exciting package. The modules were simple to study and the assignments fun to finish. The data backing these leanings can be discovered through different websites and text books. The help from the mentors was brilliant and the input was given on time with proper guidance for next levels.
What could be improved: Nothing.

What I would highlight: Earlier I opted for NCC Home Learning some time back and did not dither to come back again for another course. My Psychology course was drafted in modules with 12 well designed sections and illustration to assess your learning prior to handling the module assignment. The trainer support system was helpful for me and my task assessment was sent through email quite rapidly with assistance and advice. NCC offers wide range of courses which suits everyone. NCC home learning is beneficial and I would endorse them to anybody who wishes to opt for distance learning course.

What I would highlight: After a gap of 28 years, I registered myself into a local college a few years back and concluded a Certification in Education which boosted my morale and motivated me to improve my knowledge. I love sports and researched a lot about Sports Psychology courses, finally the content of NCC in the said field excited me a lot and I wanted to kick start instantly. My trainer Amanda, always encouraged and pushed me further. The speed of studying is quite even and I cannot wait to get my tasks assessed and come to me soon. I am going to go for another course with NCC.
What could be improved: Nothing.

What I would highlight: I loved the course a lot and would endorse people to learn with NCC. The Psychology Level 3 course was descriptive and gave a grip on the basics for similar learning in the future. The support was awesome and prompt at replying to the queries. Shaun was very supportive with the doubts I had. One thing I loved about NCC support was the accessibility. Michael Kelly.

Course Description

If you have ever wondered why people do the things they do, then the Psychology course is for you!

Psychology is the study of mind and behaviour and so in this course you will discover how psychologists have come a long way in understanding human behaviour and the mental processes that underlie our actions. In this Psychology course, you will discover: How scientists have studied the mind, brain and behaviour How our understanding of the world develops as we grow up How much we are influenced by other people How our thoughts and actions are related to brain activity How memory works, why we forget, and how to improve your memory How psychologists explain personality and intelligence How psychology can be applied in the real world.

The Psychology course is divided into twelve modules. After introducing you to the main scientific approaches in psychology (module 1), we guide you through the core areas of developmental psychology (modules 2 and 3), social psychology (modules 4 and 5), biological psychology (modules 6 and 7), cognitive psychology (modules 8 and 9) and individual differences (modules 10 and 11). We conclude the course with a look at how these aspects of psychology can help you understand your own behaviour better as well as how they can be applied in a professional setting (module 12).

Key features of the Psychology course include: ‘Setting the scene’ boxes: These describe relevant, and sometimes surprising, case studies that illustrate points that are made in the main text. ‘From the archives’ boxes: These make reference to key research studies published in academic journals. These bring you into contact with the methods and procedures used by psychologists to test and develop their theories. ‘Have a go’ boxes: These encourage active learning, in which you are more involved and engaged in the learning process. Targeted suggestions for further reading.

The Psychology course has been written especially for NCC Learning by Dr Matthew Smith. Matthew Smith is a former Associate Professor of Psychology at Liverpool Hope University with nearly 20 years’ experience of teaching and research in Psychology.

His work in the media even included a stint as the resident psychologist/parapsychologist on the television show Most Haunted. Elizabeth Ottley is a postgraduate student in Psychology. Please note: that you will need to carry out additional research in order to receive the Diploma upon completion. This aspect has been included in order to improve the learner’s research skills.

Our aim is to provide you with the best deal available when purchasing your Psychology course, therefore registration fee, certification fee and full tutor support is included in the course price for you.
