Learning outcomes To achieve this unit a learner must: 1 Understand own role, responsibilities and boundaries of role in relation to teaching 2 Understand appropriate teaching and learning approaches in the specialist area 3 Demonstrate session planning skills 4 Understand how to deliver inclusive sessions which motivate learners 5 Understand the use of different assessment methods and the need for record keeping. We offer training to student in both Ptlls one day assesssment and full three day course if any students who start a one day assessment are not happy they can upgrade to a 3 day course and just pay the different. Suitable for: Suitable for any person who has studied at a level 3 or above.This course requires you to use research methods and Harvard reference all infromation.

Course programme

How long does PTLLS take to complete?

The courses are short lasting 1 days. You will have a practical assessment and will also be required to complete five assignments which need to be sent in before certificates can be issued.If you choose the one day assessment.

What can I do when I pass PTLLS?

Once you have completed the PTLLS Qualification, you will be able to teach your specialist subject. For instance if you are a specialist in Engineering you will be able to teach Engineering at a level one below your qualification. This is for example, you should check with your specialist area what the minimum requirements are.

What is the difference between PTLLS Level 3 and 4?

This Course is at Level 3 or 4, candidates at Level 4 will be expected to understand Research Techniques to complete the Assessment Portfolio. Candidates will also be required to use Harvard referencing if undertaking this qualification at level 4.

Preparing to teach in the life long learning Sector(PTLLS)

Target Group
This qualification is appropriate for anyone seeking an introduction to
teaching: they may already be in a role or have no prior experience. You
may be already teaching on a one-to-one and / or group basis. If you have
the, this PTLLS course qualification takes you more in
depth into the career of teaching 16+ students and will be a must have
requirement for the QCF ( Qualification and Credit Framework) particularly
where funding is required.

PTLLS Course Aim
This single unit (6 credits) qualification is required for all new
entrants to the teaching profession in the lifelong learning sector in
England. It will provide you with an introduction to teaching as a step
towards a licensed practitioner status ATLS or QTLS.

This is designed for people who are new to the industry and wish to complete the course in as quickly as possible while having`time`if required. All course material is sent via email.Once enrolled in this course.
