Graduated in Physics from Leeds University. He became Works Manager at a foundry producing cast iron and steel products during the period when BS5750, the single European Act, ISO 9000 and the Product Liability Laws completely changed the UK manufacturing industries ideas regarding Quality as Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) and Just in Time (JIT) changed our approach to Operations Management. David began lecturing in 1980 and has been involved in delivering courses at Huddersfield, Sheffield and Sheffield Hallam universities.

This is a one day workshop to introduce participants to what quality is, how Quality Assurance evolved and how it impacts on our businesses. The range of quality tools available to help will be reviewed and those relevant to the participants company will be practised with a view to transferring them to the workplace.
